new schedule, intrigues, casting… everything you need to know about the return of the series on TF1

TF1 has just revealed the latest essential information regarding the imminent arrival of Plus belle la vie, on January 8, 2024, early in the afternoon. What about the casting and the script? Narrative.

For many months, TF1 began teasing the comeback of Plus belle la vie, after France Télévisions announced its withdrawal from France 3 in November 2022. With no less than 18 seasons and more than 4,600 episodes, relatively stable audiences, the Marseille saga could not end like this. It was then that last summer the first channel teased this upcoming return and confirmed that the filming of the first episodes would take place in the fall. The production continued to gradually provide information relating to Plus belle la vie, disclosing the names of the actors who had agreed to come back, the redesigned sets, as well as the new title of the television series: Plus belle la vie even more beautiful.

This Tuesday, December 19, TF1 unveiled its program schedule for part of next month and revealed that the first episode would be broadcast on January 8, after the 1 p.m. news. The meeting is set for precisely 1:40 p.m.

New actors are announced in the casting

In addition, the full cast is now known. Exit Fabienne Carat who did not wish to continue the adventure, as well as Marwan Berreni and Michel Cordes who both left us. The first allegedly killed himself after being involved in a serious road accident. The affair had been highly publicized and had also forced the production to rethink the script of its series because the actor had planned to play in the new version of TF1. Thus, most of the other actors reprise their roles, including Sylvie Flepp (Mirta Torres), Léa François (Barbara Evenot), Lola Marois (Ariane Hersant), Cécilia Hornus (Blanche Marci), Laurent Kérusoré (Thomas Marci), Anne Décis (Luna Torres), Stéphane Henon (Jean-Paul Boher), Elodie Varlet (Estelle Cantorel) and Francesco Ibaldi (Emanuele Giorgi) to name but a few.

But other characters who will form new families arrive in Plus belle la vie. To play them, we asked Jade Pradin (Clem), Johanna Boyer, Moon Dailly (Under Control), Florian Abboud, Iñaki Lartigue (Tomorrow Belongs to Us), Diane Dassigny (Profiling), Jade Pradin, as well as Jérémy Charvet. His name may mean something to you, at least if you followed The Voice in 2015. That year, the young talent joined Mika’s team before striking out on his own by opening for concerts for Kendji Girac, Marina Kaye and Claudio Capéo, among others. Jérémy Charvet also played in the series Camping paradis. TF1 is therefore full of new features!

Start everything from scratch

In terms of the scenario, there will not necessarily be any links between the old production and the new one to the extent that the plot begins “one year after the collapse of the Mistral district”. “Its former inhabitants had to start from scratch in a completely new neighborhood. New neighbors, new places and new habits… their lives slowly took a new start in the Basket,” we specify in the press release for the first chain. Furthermore, it is explained that “during the inauguration of Thomas, Kilian and Barbara’s new bar, Francesco collapses in front of the guests’ eyes”. It seems that “possible intoxication arouses paranoia among the residents, torn between the fear of negligence of the bar and that of deliberate poisoning. An investigation is opened by the police, revealing the presence of a suspicious individual on the place…”. To be continued!
