Research has been launched to try to find the body of a victim of Michel Fourniret. Marie-Angèle Domèce’s cold case had been relaunched.

If the disappearance of Marie-France and Richard worries more and more their relatives, the investigations continue concerning another unresolved case. A French serial killer has recently been released, but this will not be the case for Michel Fourniret. Accused in particular of the murder of Estelle Mouzin, he died on May 10, 2021.

According to Republican Yonne, research has been launched this Tuesday to find the body of another of his victims, Marie-Angèle Domèce. The latter had disappeared in 1988 in Auxerre when she was only 18 years old. Gendarmes and firefighters probed a well in Fleysalso in Yonne.

In February 2018, Michel Fourniret confessed to being the murderer of the young girl. Filed as an unsolved case, also called cold box, it was then revived.

Research to find Marie-Angèle Domèce

According to the serial killer’s fellow prisoners, he revealed that he had fear that the body will rise and admitted to covering it up in a “damp place”. Investigators have already probed three wells before this one.

Michel Fourniret and his wife Monique Olivier are involved in various cases but the investigators are continuing their research to gather all the information. A trial of Monique Olivier should take place by the end of the year at the Paris Assize Court but her husband, who died two years ago, will not be tried for these cases.

Three files will concern her: the death of Joanna Parrish, a young Briton found in 1990, and the disappearances of Estelle Mouzin and Marie-Angèle Domèce.

The excavations in the Yonne constitute a last hope for the case of the latter. The family’s lawyer, Me Didier Seban, evokes “a final verification to close all the doors”.

The gendarmes did not seem to unfortunately no body found this time and will not be able for the moment to offer answers to the questions of the relatives of Marie-Angèle Domèce. Will Monique Olivier give elements to the families during the trial?
