new single, television… What happens to the finalist of season 3 of Star Academy?

After his Star Academy final in 2003, what was Michal Kwiatkowki’s journey? We take stock during his return to the set of the TF1 show.

They marked the show but sometimes disappeared from the radar. For this Christmas week, several former Star Academy candidates are invited to return to the TF1 set to share duets with the students of the class of 2023. Will be present Aurélie Konaté (famous for her dance of Paris Latino), Emma Daumas (who scored with her hit You will be), Mario (with an improbable reconversion) or even Michal Kwiatkowski. Michal: what is the Star Academy 2003 finalist doing?

At 38 years old, Michal already has six albums to his credit. After the star Academy in France, he became famous in his country, Poland, and participates in several television shows including Dance with the stars And Looks like a star there. He also campaigns for gay rights, one of the first to speak about it in the Polish media. But it is in France that he lives and teaches.

Now a professor, he opened his own school: Studio Michal. He has been in a relationship for several years with Bixente Simone. On the music side, he released a new single in September 2023: I hold on. An electro song with a clip directed by Théo Michel & Léo Henry. It is this title that he will perform live with a student of the star Academy for the Christmas bonus. In October, he released his album: MK40. The latter was composed with his partner Bixente and co-produced with the Belgian Jaimy Jay. A record that mixes dream pop and electro.
