According to a newspaper investigation, the adventurers concerned have implemented various tricks to find food by circumventing the rules of the program. And among all the participants of this special season who would be involved, Claude’s name was mentioned several times.
According to people contacted by The Parisian, former candidates and members of the production, he would have managed to recover food with several other comrades. “He was very hesitant about what strategy to take regarding his cheating. Claude could have said that the temptation was too great. He finally decided to deny it until death. After all, the cameras were not there.” According to a witness present at the scene at the time of the events, the 42-year-old adventurer went to steal food from the technicians’ tents. A guard would then have surprised him “but he was able to leave more cheaply”. But that’s not all. Claude, accompanied by four other candidates, would have been invited by locals to eat for free at their place. To get there, the adventurers would have waited for their “supervisors” to fall asleep before leaving the camp. A fairly regular outing if we are to believe the information in the newspaper which speaks of a ritual every three days.
Ugo, the only non-cheater?
Adventure Line Productions, which produces TF1’s flagship show, has confirmed receiving “oral information according to which certain competitors could have been able to feed themselves punctually by means which are not in the rules of ‘Koh-Lanta’ ”, and this, since “a few weeks”. If all this information is being said on condition of anonymity, it is because all this can damage the reputation of the adventurers who have cheated. But not all of them would fall into that category. “The real legend of this season is Ugo”, informs a production employee, adding that he “Maybe would have liked to be in the cheating stories, but no one proposed to him!”
