2024 - New Star: the tidy sum touched by Lio in the show

Tuesday March 29, 2022, Lio granted an interview to Ciné Télé Revue. For the occasion, the singer agreed to reveal how much money she had received when she was part of the jury of the New Star, on M6.

That was nearly fifteen years ago… In 2008, Lio joined the jury of the New staron M6. If the singer stayed on the show only for two years, she had pocketed a nice sum to appear there. In an interview given to Cine TV Reviewthe interpreter of The Banana Split dropped : “It was a one-year contract that worked on invoice, not on salary. It was around 140,000 euros. Today, I think The Voice in France pays a lot more. In Belgium, as there are fewer viewers, the cachet is less important. These are things that are negotiated.“If the singer has earned a lot of money, it does not roll today on gold…

In the columns of GalaLio had revealed a week earlier: “I don’t live badly, but I live just in time. I have no cash. I never cared about any of that. When I was earning a good living, other people managed that aspect. Me, I’ve always lived in a suitcase, I’ve never stayed more than three years in the same place. Today, I don’t even have a place that is really my own.“Finally, the singer had added:”I’m a nomad with all that that implies, especially when you’re over 20, that’s probably why I feel fragile. I have no anchor. I’m very worried… I’m a worried woman.” In March 2018, it was on the set of Day-to-day which she said:I am rich in many things, but not in my bank account. I’m only a singer, I don’t touch copyrights. When I release a record, I sell 15,000 (…) I’m quite rich on the inside but damn it gives me a nice leg.“

How much money does Lio receive as a singer?

Saturday March 12, 2022, on the show We redo the TV on RTL, the singer had revealed the sum she receives each year thanks to the broadcasting of her songs. While she does not compose the latter, Lio had slipped: “It’s not the same at all. In fact, when you make a song, you have several forms of remuneration. It is those who write the song, the authors, and the composers, who have a lifetime pension. The interpreter, thanks to Jack Lang who created the Adami, we have a little bit. But what do I earn per year at Adami? Between 5,000 and 12,000 euros, depending on the year.“
