The Star Trek franchise keeps growing. A new series set in the Kelvin timeline is about to be developed. Until now, this timeline, in which Nero destroyed the USS Kelvin, was reserved for the “Star Trek” films.
The US magazine “Giant Freakin Robot” claims to have learned from a reliable source that the series will be launched on the Paramount+ streaming service. So far, there is no exact information about the content of the series, since the Kelvin timeline is still quite unexplored after three films.
Of course, a series in the Kelvin timeline has the problem that series fans could get confused since all other “Star Trek” series play in a different timeline. However, the series has not yet been officially announced. First of all, you can look forward to the launch of Star Trek Lower Decks Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video on August 26, 2022.
