Numerous stars will lend their voices to the characters from the “Super Mario Bros.” classics in a new film.

The “Super Mario Bros.” will hit the big screen next year in the form of a new animated film. Many stars will lend their voices to characters from Nintendo’s video games, as reported by the industry magazine “Variety”. Christopher Meledandri (62) and Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto (68) are on board as producers. The US theatrical release is currently planned for December 21, 2022.

Who will be there

Main character Mario is spoken by Hollywood favorite Chris Pratt (42), his brother Luigi by Charlie Day (45). “The Queen’s Gambit” star Anya Taylor-Joy (25) will become Princess Peach, Jack Black (52) will become villain Bowser and Seth Rogen (39) will become Donkey Kong. Keegan-Michael Key (50) gives the Toad and Fred Armisen (54) gives the Cranky Kong. Also there are Kevin Michael Richardson (56) and Sebastian Maniscalco (48).

For Pratt, a childhood dream comes true with the role, as he tells in a short clip on Instagram. With a typical “It’s a meeeee !!!!!”, the actor confirms that he will speak to Mario. He is currently still working on the right pitch.
