New Tales from the Borderlands Confirms October Release

Initially developed by Telltale in 2015 (and rather well received, including in our ranks), Tales From The Borderlands will therefore have a sequel, or at least a spiritual heir, since several differences are already to be counted from one game to another. On the one hand, it is now up to the studio that owns the original universe, Gearbox Software (and more precisely Gearbox Quebec) to develop it. But above all, we must expect a change of setting and characters for this new standalone story, in the person of a trio of adventurers, presented as three “endearing loosers”: Anu, a philanthropic scientist, her brother Octavio with a much more crafty gab and Fran, a “ferocious ice cream thrower” according to the statement in the press release.

Together, they will have to join forces to resist the invasion of their planet, and their metropolis Prometheus by the megacorporation Tediore, hunt ugly beasts of the Ark and other brutes. We are also promised new talking guns…and bipeds! What more ?

What does not change, however, is the narrative structure of the game (5 chapters, but not marketed separately) and the fact that our choices will determine the fate of our (anti) heroes, and the various branches of the scenario.

Tales From the Borderlands will therefore be released on Series X | S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Switch and PC on October 21 for 40 euros. Fully dubbed in French, the game is already available for pre-order in two editions, Standard and Deluxe.
