Teased many times, New Tales From The Borderlands was made official as promised during the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2022. The surprise had been spoiled by a leak from Amazon, but here is the first trailer, the date release date and official info shared.
New Tales From The Borderlands shows up with a crossed out trailer
Tales from the Borderlands is back. The sequel eagerly awaited by fans is now under the supervision of Gearbox Quebec. Several former employees of Telltale who worked on the narrative game and more particularly its writing are returning for this new opus which will feature a brand new cast. Players will no longer follow Rhys and Fiona directly, but a new trio. Anu, Octavia and Fran who will try to get by on the planet Prometheus, visited in Borderlands 3. If the cast will be composed mainly of new characters, some old heads from other games.
Choices made during the game will always have such an important impact on the story. New Tales From The Borderlands will be available on October 21 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. The game will keep an episodic format but all chapters will be available from launch.
