  • At CES 2023, the world’s largest TV manufacturers will present their upcoming model series.
  • The focus is again on the Korean world market leaders Samsung and LG.
  • Other manufacturers use the Korean technology for their top models – Panasonic equips such a television with LG displays, while TCL now also has Samsung technology on board.

At the CES 2023, which will again open its doors to visitors in the usual large format from January 5 to 8, 2023 in Las Vegas, there will be numerous innovations in the TV sector to see. Netzwelt has summarized the most important innovations that should land on the consumer market in 2023 in this overview:

Panasonic MZW2004: New flagship with brighter LG display

As with its predecessor flagship with the identifier LZW, the Japanese TV manufacturer has also installed an OLED display from industry leader LG for its new premium model MZW2004.

However, like the new LG top models, the new flagship M series is equipped with the new micro-lens technology from the Korean display manufacturer and thus benefits from the enormous increase in brightness made possible by the upgrade.

However, said upgrade has only been implemented for the two “smaller” models with screen diagonals of 55 and 65 inches. So the gigantic 77-incher still has to do without a brightness boost from micro lenses.

Samsung S95C: QD-OLED now also in huge

With the S95B, Samsung installed its new OLED panels with Quantum Dots in one of its TV series for the first time last year and largely delighted the experts, although there were a few teething problems to complain about and Samsung once again fantasized about performance values for its devices, which could not be proven.

Now the TV world market leader presented the S95C at the CES 2023, a new TV generation with QD-OLED panel, which now also dares to be gigantic: the S95B with 55 and 65 inches was only available in more common household sizes, there are with the S95C there is now also a gigantic model in 77 inches.

The QD OLED screen units should all be even brighter than the previous displays. Whether the 2,000 NITS promised by Samsung can actually be achieved in the test is doubtful and remains to be seen.
