Since Elon Musk took over the then free Twitter and renamed it X, the social media platform has quickly cost money. There are different subscriptions with various benefits that you can purchase.

More payments will be made in the future, as Elon Musk pointed out X writes. If you register again, you have to pay a small fee in order to be able to write messages, like posts or add them to bookmarks. X radar updates had reported this in advance and Elon Musk then confirmed the adjustment, even if he only referred to a restriction on write permissions.

According to Musk, this is necessary to counteract all the bots on X that flood X with spam messages. Mechanisms like “Are you a bot?” would be able to easily handle artificial intelligence.

Restriction for three months only

It is not known how high the fee for the right to write will be or when this innovation will take effect. According to Musk, it should only be valid for three months for new registrations, reports Gizmodo. Then writing messages is free again.
