New top smartphone from OnePlus: Pre-order the OnePlus 12 now and receive a gift

While the OnePlus 12 celebrated its market launch in China at the beginning of December, international OnePlus fans had to wait a little longer. After the smartphone was not allowed to be sold in Germany for a long time, the sales ban has now been lifted and both the OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus 12R are available for pre-order in the manufacturer’s online shop.

Anyone who decides to buy the new top smartphone now can look forward to free Buds Pro 2 worth 179 euros in the package.

The OnePlus 12 is initially available in two color and memory variations. For the version with 512 gigabytes of internal storage capacity and 16 gigabytes of RAM, you can get a 100 euro discount at launch and are currently paying 999 euros. The model with an internal memory of 256 gigabytes and 12 gigabytes of RAM is available for 949 euros. You can choose from the designs “Silky Black” and “Flowy Emerald”.

In addition to the OnePlus 12, there is also a OnePlus 12R. The latter only uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from last year and the Lytia sensor and the periscope camera are not included. Compared to the OnePlus 11, it is also cheaper. For 16 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal storage you currently pay 699 euros in the manufacturer’s online shop.

You can save even more on both smartphone variants because various bundle add-ons, including protective cases, headphones and tablets, are available with a discount of up to 43 percent.

This is what the new OnePlus 12 wants to impress

The OnePlus 11 was almost completely convincing in the short test. Although it offers little that is innovative, it does appeal with its excellent display, good camera and strong processor performance.

Now the manufacturer is launching the next generation of its flagship series, the OnePlus 12. In addition to top-level performance, OnePlus is now also adding wireless charging. A new cooling system and a vibration motor are also installed.

There is also protection against water and dust according to IP65, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an optical fingerprint sensor under the display, USB 3.2 Gen 1 for data transfer and ColorOS 14, a new version of the operating system used by OnePlus based on Android 14.

With a retail price starting at 949 euros, the smartphone offers a fair price-performance ratio. A detailed test report will show whether the OnePlus 12 actually represents competition for Samsung and Xiaomi.
