New Trailer Reveals Classic Scenes From The Anime Recreated In Live-Action


Just in time for One Piece Day, a new trailer for Netflix’s upcoming One Piece live-action series has arrived. The trailer for the Netflix series is accompanied by new images showing classic scenes from the anime.

Netflix has just released a new trailer for One Piece, its live-action adaptation based on Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga series in Japanese history. After a first trailer in June which already promised a live-action adaptation faithful to the manga, Netflix has just reassured fans with a new trailer filled with scenes from the anime.

The trailer also tells us a bit more about the crew’s journey than we’ve already seen, including on the Straw Hat’s ship and flag. We also get a look at the villains they’ll encounter over the course of the season.

OnePiece trailer reveals all the characters to expect

As Luffy searches for the mythical treasure of One Piece and heads for the dreaded Grand Line, things will get more and more perilous for the gang. The trailer is an opportunity to discover Luffy, still going strong, compete against rivals and show off its characteristic expandable abilities.

Among the antagonists present this season, we will find Buggy the Clown, the Devil’s Fruit user, or Arlong, the fish-man. Netflix’s One Piece series will be led by Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Rorona Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Peter Gadiot as Shanks.

The other actors are Morgan Davies (Koby), Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (Alvida), Aidan Scott (Helmeppo), Jeff Ward (Buggy), McKinley Belcher III (Arlong), Vincent Regan (Garp), Alexander Maniatis (Klahadore), Steven Ward (Mihawk), Craig Fairbrass (Chef Zeff), Langley Kirkwood (Captain Morgan), Celeste Loots (Kaya) and Chioma Umeala (Nojiko).

As a reminder, One Piece will be released on Netflix on August 31st, and will have 8 episodes. This adaptation seems promising, since it has already received the praise of Eiichiro Oda himself. We let you discover the full trailer below.
