At the moment, the name Dune: Part 2 is on everyone’s lips and is a hit at the box office, but not only that! As for its five-star cast, we savor the triumph of this sequel from every point of view. Among the faces that we were able to discover in this second part, there is one that we will soon find in the next film by this particularly divisive filmmaker.

Dune 2, a triumph that opens doors for its stars

On many scales, the feature film Dune: Part 2, directed by Denis Villeneuve, very largely serves as confirmation. On the one hand, with regard to the first part which this sequel greatly exceeds, notably in terms of success at the box office, and, on the other hand, with regard to the performances of certain actors, at the image of Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Florent Pugh, Zendaya and Austin Butler. Moreover, the American actor, who had already caused a sensation thanks to his performance in the film Elviscontinues to shine, even going so far as to be intimidating on film sets, according to two of his co-stars in this second part.

Thanks to his previous resounding appearances, Austin Butler has opened many doors for himself (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Masters of the Air…) and created multiple opportunities for himself, leading him to work with renowned filmmakers. Soon, he will be able to prove himself again on giant screens under the leadership of Ari Aster (Heredity, Midsommar…) and… by Darren Aronofsky, a name as strong as it is maligned in the world of cinema. After becoming the darling of Hollywood, Austin Butler becomes the muse of the director of Requiem for a Dream and, more recently, The Whale in its next adaptation, called Caught Stealing.

The Elvis star will star in the next film by the much-maligned Darren Aronofsky (The Whale)

When we take a look at Darren Aronofsky’s filmography, we realize that the director is used to putting his first roles to the test: Natalie Portman in Black SwanJennifer Lawrence in Mother! or even Brendan Fraser in The Whale. It’s in a way the filmmaker’s trademark and, soon, it’s Austin Butler who sticks to it by being on the poster of Caught Stealing. Nevertheless, the American actor apparently has the habit of giving his all to his roles, as we saw with his impressive transformation for the role of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen In Dune: Part 2.

That being said, the next project of the divisive Aronofsky will be less fantastic than that of Denis Villeneuve since it is of a police thriller inspired by Caught Stealingthe novel of the same name by Charlie Huston. Currently, the film is only in the pre-production stage but we already know, with the help of the synopsis, that we will follow a former baseball player named Hank Thompson. However, he will not really benefit from his sporting retirement since he will have to fight, in the middle of organized crime, to survive at all costs in the hostile New York of nineties.
