Tom Cruise was criticized by the author of the novels Lee Child who considered him too small to play the character on screen. He was therefore delighted to discover Jack Reacher in the guise of Alan Ritchson in the series Reacher which has since been a hit on the SVOD service of the online sales giant. Reacher currently has two eight-episode seasons that have been rightly praised by critics and subscribers.
