Directed by Wolfgang Petersen, who previously distinguished himself on In the Line of Fire (1993) and Air Force One (1997), this free adaptation of the epic Iliad by the bard Homer has a dream cast in the hope of riding the peplum renaissance launched by Gladiator in 2000.
