A real hit of the year 2016, the trashy animated film Sausage Party will be entitled to a series sequel which should be released very soon on Prime Video.

The Sausage Fair by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg

In 2016, the screenwriting duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg decided to launch into animated cinema with a rather curious project: Sausage Party. Despite its form, the film was nothing like a mainstream feature film. Trash and subversive, Sausage Party: The Private Life of Food‘ tells the story of a sausage stuck in a supermarket in which the different products engage in a huge orgy. A completely crazy project, supported by a cast of stars, which greatly distinguished itself at the box office by raking in more than 140 million dollars for a budget of 19 million dollars. And eight years after this success, Sausage Party‘ must now return in another form on Prime Video. A first necessarily tendentious visual has already been shared.

The sequel arrives on Prime Video

Announced last year, the animated series Sausage Party: Foodtopia, is due to be released very soon on Prime Video. We still know little about this new eight-episode project. The series would be presented as a sequel to the film and should bring together most of the members of the original cast: Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz and Edward Norton. According to Seth Rogen, Foodtopia will be “incredibly shocking” and should therefore push the boundaries of the first film even further. Amazon obviously supports the author and collaborates once again with him after the success of The Boys And Invincible. The appointment is set for July 11 on Prime Video.
