The heroes of our childhood are becoming nastier than ever… and they are going to play it MCU.

Pinocchio VS Bambi: FIGHT!

The information published at Variety East as funny as it is dismaying. Production company Jagged Edge, mainly known for its horror feature films and for releasing Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey, has big ambitions for its future projects. It must be said that when you raise more than 5 million dollars for a film that only cost 50,000 in budget, it makes you want something bigger.

While Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 will be released on March 26, a film where Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Tigger travel to the town of Ashdown to strike at everything that moves, actor and producer Scott Chambers told Variety that the “Poohniverse” was under study. In fact, the monstrous team of Winnie the Pooh should meet in a new film Pinocchio, the Mad Hatter, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Bambi or even Tinker Bell in order to create a team of supervillains who will have fun destroying our childhood (and not only that). “As horror fans, we’d like the Avengers to just be villains” explained Scott Chambers. Before adding: “there would be Freddy Krueger, Jason, Halloween, Scream, all these characters. Obviously that will never happen, but we can do it our way, and that’s how this film was born”.

Peter Pan ! In your teeth

According to the first details given by Jagged Edge, Rhys Jake-Waterfield, the director of Blood and Honey and Blood and Honey 2, will direct the Poohniverse film. All we know at the moment is that the director says “enthusiasm”, and that he does not want to deny himself anything, not even “epic monster vs monster sequences”. The cast includes the return of Scott Chambers, Megan Plactio, Roxanne Mckee and Lewis Santer. Jagged Edge also plans to produce other films, such as Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, which will have links to the new shared universe of the Poohniverse. As recalled GamesRadar, this shared universe appears to be separate from that of Horror Steamboat Willie, Cinderella’s Curse and Peter Pan Goes to Hell, these films being produced by different studios. Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble is expected to hit theaters in 2025.
