There are fantasies that can’t always come true, and then there are some that come to life at the most unexpected moment. While Star Wars fans were waiting to see these two characters meet, it finally happened through their actors.

Two people who should never have met

With a saga that spans several decades, Star Wars fans didn’t wait long to imagine scenarios where completely opposite characters would meet. Would Kylo Ren have had the same fate if he had been trained by Master Yoda? Would Han Solo have liked Anakin Skywalker if he hadn’t become Darth Vader? What if Luke had had the opportunity to meet his mother through the Force or some other means? It’s this last question that has just been answered… but in real life.

Now I finally met my “mother” thanks to the Golden Globes.

Indeed, on the occasion of the 2024 Golden Globes ceremony which took place just a few days ago, actors Mark Hamill and Natalie Portman had the opportunity to meet, at the same time realizing an unexpected fantasy for Star Wars fans. As a reminder, Hamill obviously plays Luke Skywalker in the original films and in the new trilogy, while Portman played his mother Padmé Amidala in the prelogy. Their meeting was immortalized thanks to a photo that Mark Hamill published on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. It must be said that the two actors had never met until then, as Hamill revealed in a message in June 2018.

Another Star Wars duo coming soon to the big screen

Since the end of the Skywalker Saga in the cinema, Disney has not stopped producing Star Wars content, far from it. For example, we were treated to several series dedicated to characters already known to fans (Andor, Obi Wan, Ahsoka, etc.) but also to some new ones such as the very popular The Mandalorian. If you are one of those who liked this series with Pedro Pascal, know that it will soon be entitled to its own film!

On the series’ official Twitter account, Disney has indeed formalized the start of production of a film dedicated to the adventures of Din Djarin and his sidekick Grogu. The latter should begin a little later this year and should serve as a conclusion to the entire common story developed in the series The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. The film will be directed by Jon Favreauand it will also help Kathleen Kennedy And Dave Filoni to production. We are already looking forward to learning more about this project, but we will surely have to be a little patient. This is the way, after all.
