Very good news for fans of this Pokémon series: Netflix has announced the production of new episodes!

The Pokémon receptionist, a gem

While a new Pokémon Presents is looming on the horizon, the series that interests us today was precisely revealed on the occasion of that of February last year. Remember, The Pokémon Company took advantage of the event to announce a partnership with Netflix which would bring to life a Pokémon series like no other: The Pokémon Receptionist (Or Pokémon Janitor). And when we say that she is not like the others, it is on all levels. Indeed, the series made the bold choice not to have us follow the adventures of a new trainer but of a young receptionist just hired at the Pokémon Hotel, a place where employees bend over backwards to help their customers, the Pokémon.

Welcome to the Pokémon Hotel, an oasis of peace where Pokémon come to have fun and relax. Which customer will Haru, the new receptionist, meet first?

Synopsis of Netflix

The best Pokémon series... but also the shortest! Finally, not for long: Netflix will welcome new episodes

In addition to the substance, it is also the form that changes with The Pokémon Receptionist. The series was in fact produced in stop motion. If you are interested, the behind the scenes of this production method which brought a certain character to the series were revealed last December. And then the tone is much lighter and refreshing than in most other Pokémon productions. As a result, the series quite naturally met with its small success. It even managed to get a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes and this is still the case today on the press side. Obviously, Netflix and The Pokémon Company could not abandon this little gem!

New episodes coming soon to Netflix

The only big black spot The Pokémon Receptionistthis is its number of episodes. 4 episodes for such a pleasant series is still very little. But that’s not really surprising when you know how long stop motion productions take to produce. But don’t worry, Netflix and The Pokémon Company are fixing this problem. The Japanese company announced on X (formerly Twitter) that new episodes were in production. No more information at the moment, but we were still treated to a nice illustration by Iku Ogawa, the director of the series. We can’t wait to find out more!
