The superhero series adapted by Amazon Prime Video returns for a new season which promises to be more eventful than the previous ones. The TV show is revealed through a trailer which features the characters you know, but like you’ve never seen them before!

A promising season

Season 4 of The Boys will take place this summer. The first three episodes will be posted online on June 13 and the series will be broadcast every week with a finale scheduled for July 18. After having exploded a whale or more recently a penis during the Herogasm party, it seems that the rest of the adventures of the Boys group promise to be even more “exotic”.

The last season left us with a grandiose finale pitting Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Antony Starr) against Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). The Boys group embarks on a crusade against the Seven here. Butcher, injured by the use of Compound V which reduces his life expectancy, then decides to leave alone to find Ryan, the son of his late wife Becca, by releasing a deadly virus necessary to kill the superheroes. This product has already been seen in the finale of season 1 of the spin-off Gen V available on Amazon Prime Video. Ready for anything, Butcher teams up with a new character played by Jeffrey Dean. Morgan (Negan in The Walking Dead). His character seems to want to get rid of superheroes in order to save humanity from imminent end.

The Boys becomes a pillar of Amazon Prime Video

The Boys is a great success for Amazon Prime Video. The series is followed by millions of subscribers and has received praise from critics (93% on Rotten Tomatoes) and viewers (83% on Rotten Tomatoes) since its release. Especially since the show has been renewed for season 5 even though the next season has not yet been released! The showrunner of the series Eric Kripke spoke with humor about the announcement of a sequel.

The Boys might be the best job I’ve ever had. What other series allows me to write about politics, capitalism, family, and exploding genitals, even if it’s not in that order? -Eric Kripke
