The Walking Dead series presents its new spin-off through a new trailer full of information. Among them, we discover that one of the heroes of the series will join the antagonists.
Rick Grimes is the hero of the series The Walking Dead which began in 2010. However, during episode 4 of season 9, he fell from a horse and found himself cornered by a horde of zombies, only to be saved by a woman named Jadis aboard a helicopter. In a few weeks, the spin-off titled The Ones Who Live will tell us what Rick has been doing all this time. A trailer has been released and brings us interesting information which could link the hero and a group at the origin of a disaster which occurred 13 years ago.

A trailer full of information
The trailer for The Ones Who Live shows us that Rick Grimes, as implied after his kidnapping by the CRM in season 9, has joined the group. The Civil Public Military works for the survival of the population, a rather noble goal in appearance, but sometimes takes radical decisions. Atrocious acts notably ordered by the major general of the unit named Beal who, to prevent his group from falling under the tutelage of the Civil government, had 100,000 people killed in Omaha with the help of toxic gas in order to create threat of a mega horde. They could also be Daryl Dixon’s enemies because the organization is so big.
The images in the trailer also seem to link the military and the bombing of Atlanta which occurred 13 years ago previously seen during Rick’s coma at the start of the series.. We see the hero defending the company base against simple zombies, while we learn in another spin-off, The World Beyond, that this is a job for rank-and-file soldiers. Additionally, Andrew Lincoln’s character has a conversation with the Major General, which would imply that Rick has greater importance within the organization. We notice a masked pilot during this trailer whose face we do not see, but it could be our protagonist who would then be elevated to the rank of pilot. Throughout the series, we will also follow Michonne, so we assume that the two characters will meet again. To see if they will be friends or enemies.
The Walking Dead universe
For the moment, The Ones Who Live should be released on February 25 on AMC + in the United States, but still does not have broadcasters in France. This gives you time to catch up if you haven’t already. And I hope for you that it is not too big since the series currently has 16 different series counting the spin offs and web series. Note that season 2 of the part centered on Daryl Dixon should arrive this year. Despite the end of the main adventure started in 2010, we are not ready to see The Walking Dead leave our screens.
