While some are busy trying to guess the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI, others are passing the time by playing another Rockstar Games franchise. Moreover, Red Dead Redemption 2 fans are waiting for only one thing: to receive additional content, preferably before the launch of GTA6.

A license that eclipses the others

While most fans are anxiously awaiting news about Grand Theft Auto VIother players dream of receiving more content in games likely forgotten by Rockstar Games. Because yes, even if the developers are mainly known for the GTA license, they have also given birth to other emblematic titles, such as the third part of the saga centered on the adventures of the detective Max Paynebut also Red Dead Redemption and its prequel, Red Dead Redemption IIwhich sees players slip into the shoes of an American outlaw in the midst of conquering the West.

And yes, even if Red Dead Redemption 2 was released almost five and a half years ago, many fans still play it today, especially in Red Dead Onlinea multiplayer mode which is largely based on the mechanics of GTA Onlinethe multi version of Grand Theft Auto V. In this game mode, it is possible to customize the appearance of your character, tame horses to explore the open world, and even perform scripted missions allowing the narrative to move forward. However, players have been lamenting the lack of new thingsand we understand it very well.

An abandoned game… or not?

To put things in context, Red Dead Redemption 2 hasn’t received any notable updates since now 18 months. Well, that was before the release of patch 1.32 a few days ago. Far from being the content update most players have been waiting for, this patch seems to focus on bug fixes and optimization measures for the version PC of the game. We note fixes which should reduce crashes, voice chat disabled by default, an offline mode which should now work on Windows 11, a resolution of 3200×2400 available again, and even the addition of HDR10 + GAMING support for all compatible graphics cards. Moreover, these latest additions have made waves on Redditwhere players try to understand the sudden arrival of this patch:

And where some take the opportunity to make their desires known in terms of additional content:

Requests for FatherDotComical are simple: more horses, and a hunting cart in single player mode. In fact, this player would like the majority of the content of Red Dead Online be transferred to the single player campaign, and he would even be willing to pay for this addition if Rockstar decided to make it a DLC. For the answers, FatherDotComical isn’t the only player so desperate to receive additional content before the release of GTA6and that’s understandable! At this point, even Arthur Morgan wouldn’t say no to some new stuff. Who knows, maybe this patch was intended to fix a few issues before offering a more substantial update? In any case, this is what we, and undoubtedly the majority of fans of Red Dead Redemption 2let’s hope!
