Although Preston has appeared mostly on the red carpet with her husband in recent years, she was also a big star before her marriage and had great success in films like "Twins" and "Jerry Maguire" alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Cruise. She did not want to make her breast cancer illness public before her death. On Instagram, Travolta also expressly thanks the doctors and nurses who have accompanied Preston in her last hours – and explains that he will withdraw a little at first. "I will take some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother," Travolta writes on Instagram. "Forgive me in advance if you haven't heard from us in a while."
