Go to the Dark Depths

Whether by talking to Brian in the Emerald Grove refugee camp, obtaining the Lorroakan contract or reading notes found in the Goblin Camp, you go in search of Chantenuit in the Desecrated Temple located in underneath the devastated Sanctuary.

The first puzzle that will stand in your way is that of the stone discs.. If you haven’t paid enough attention to the documents placed in the office of the goblin priestess or by not observing the basements of the Goblin Camp enough, you have probably missed the solution. However, it turns out to be quite simple.

  • Position your camera so that the pedestal is in front of you,
  • Turn the discs so that there are four black dots at the bottom and four white dots at the top,

A door opens leading you into the Dark Depths, the underground part of the Wasteland, Emerald Grove, Mountain Pass, etc. Your adventure can then continue and so can your search for Chantenuit.

Find Chantenuit in the Dark Depths

Unfortunately, you will fail in the Dark Depths. No trace of this mysterious artifact which arouses the interest of many people. So, you will have to choose to go to Malforge and its Adamantium Forge or go to the Trielta Hills to discover the secrets of the Blood of Lathander in the Monastery of Auberosea.

We advise you to take the time to do these areas from top to bottom and to follow the quests of your companions, in particular that of Lae’zel with the crèche, because there is no fire at the inn. Many powerful items await you and it would be a shame to miss them.

Find Chantenuit in the Tours de Hautelune region

You can reach this area by going to the Darkened Battleground from Trielta Hills or by taking the freight elevator on Malforge Dock.

When you arrive in this area, you will have very little information about Chantenuit. However, by following Shadowheart’s quest and speaking with Jaheira at the Inn of the Last Glow, you will be able to find some useful information, in particular by going to the Reithwin cemetery located behind the House of Healing. You will discover the Mausoleum of Thorm and this monument is not there by chance, because rumors indicate that it is possible that Chantenuit is there.

Raphael, the devil, will even ask you to go there and kill a former opponent in his place. Thus, the tracks become more and more concrete, so go to the Mausoleum of Thorm to reach the Temple of Trials of Shar.

Find Chantenuit in Shar’s Temple of Trials

When visiting Shar’s Temple of Trials, a protagonist will eclipse all your doubts: Chantenuit is well hidden in the Temple of Trials of Shar. However, the path that leads to it is blocked, you will need 4 sooty gems to operate the travel platforms.

So, you will have to meet all the tests that the Goddess imposes on you. Although most of them are mandatory to reach Chantenuit, the Silent Library is optional. However, it is necessary for the achievement of the last objective.

Once you have the 4 sooty gems in your possession, go towards the central corridor from the “Edge of Shadows” teleport point to place a first sooty gem in the judgment pedestal. Then, all you have to do is place yourself on the platform and then use the crossing gem on the ground to reach the other part of the temple. Once at the bottom, place the other three gems to open the door leading to Chantenuit.

Should Chantenuit be killed or not?

As we go into a little more detail, we hide the different consequences to ensure that your gaming experience is as healthy as possible. You are free to look at the actions you can take and their consequences.
