As is often the case on Elden Ring, nothing is linear and proof of this is this guide which gives you no less than three different ways to reach the Volcano Manor.
The first requires you to have opened access to the Raya Lucaria academy. From there, start from the grace site “School Classroom”.
From there, go back a little to the huge wheel and drop onto one of the platforms that it lowers. Once you reach the bottom, you will fight iron maidens: let them catch you and kill you inside. You will then be transported to a whole new area. Then continue into the area until you come across a boss fight, against two iron maidens.
Once you have defeated them, you can simply go back to the surface and you will find yourself not far from the Volcano Manor. Besides, to be completely precise, the new area where you appear via the iron maiden is located under the latter.
Be careful though because the enemies can be quite tough and you will not be able to teleport out of the area until you have successfully crossed it. So think twice before trying to get started on this one.
Join the Volcano Manor thanks to Rya
Another way to reach the Volcano Manor is simply through Rya. The first time you meet her will be in Liurnia in a small chapel and she will ask you to help her find her necklace which was stolen.
Go get it and bring it back to him. She will then give you an invitation to Volcano Manor. If the latter is not mandatory to access it, it still allows you to get there more easily. Indeed, Rya is now waiting for you at the big Dectus elevator.
If you go there, you will be able to talk to him. She will then offer to teleport you directly to the Volcano Manor.. Of the three solutions, this is surely the one that is the simplest and will require the least amount of fighting to achieve. Go to Volcano Manor via Leyndell, Royal Capital
Finally, the last method to get to the Volcano Manor is simply to go there on foot. To do this, you can, for example, start from Leyndell, the royal capital. There, fight Morgott (and take a look at this guide if it gives you any trouble).
Once that’s done, take the path that allows you to exit to the northwest of the capital. Then follow the road. It will first take you through the mill village of Dominula. Then, take the point which overlooks the Bastiombre.
Continue further and you will come across a broken bridge. Return to the grace site located to the southeast and climb onto the plateau overlooking this bridge. Then use the stone pillar to cross the ravine. Continue and you will come across several ladders.
Go up first to face a grafted offspring. For the second, take the one on the left and you will come across a merchant. Finally after the last ladder, a draft brings you to a fight against the adult star creature. Then continue to the Volcano Manor.
