In Enshrouded, the flame altar is one of the central elements of the gameplay, and as you can imagine if you are on this article, you will have to improve it as your adventures progress. In this article, we explain in detail how to do it.
As we just told you, the altar of flame is a very important gameplay element in Enshrouded, and this can quickly be guessed given that as a player, you are the “offspring of the flame”. You will therefore quickly have to build one.
Once this is done, you will unlock a first perimeter where you will be able to develop your base. Moreover, this altar will only be the first that you will build during your adventure because it has another particularity, it is a fast travel point.
The idea will therefore be to place them in strategic places in order to be able to move more quickly on the map. Besides, you will then be able to improve these flame altars, which will have the effect of increasing the construction perimeter.
Basic, you will have 40 m² of construction. With each improvement, you will gain 40 m² of perimeter. To make these improvements you will need two things. The first is Hearts of Mist that you will earn by defeating bosses or through alchemy.
The second thing is to increase the flame level, and we will see how to do this in the second part of this article. Before we look at it, let us point out that improvement only affects one altar at a time. So be careful to prioritize the most important ones for you!

Indeed, this also allows you to spend more time in the Mist or to have better attribute bonuses. Finally, the higher the flame level, the more altars you can place. These serve as teleportation points, so it is very important to pay attention to the flame level.
To make these improvements, you will have to collect a lot of resources and at each level, they will logically be more difficult to find in order to accompany you throughout your adventure. However, some elements will come back.
