News tip Enshrouded: Which classes to choose in the skill tree, solo or in co-op?

In Enshrouded, there is a whole RPG dimension materialized (among other things) by a talent tree and it is sometimes a little complicated to navigate. In this article, we explain how it works, but also the choices to make, whether you are alone or in a group.

Summary of our Enshrouded guides

Before we look at the different classes in the game, let’s first see how the skill tree works in Enshrouded. You will have a whole bunch of branches which will lead you to 12 classes grouped into three categories: ranged (physical) classes in green, ranged (magic) in blue and melee in red.

Each time you unlock a skill, you will be able to unlock those with which the branches that communicate, which means that you will be able to obtain skills from each of the three categories if you ever want to.

As for points to spend, you will obviously earn them by leveling up, but also each time you destroy a root from an elixir well for the first time. To reset this tree, you will have to go to the altar of flame and spend runes there.

Which class to choose solo?

If, as we will see later in the article, playing in a group makes it easier to specialize in a role, it is not the same thing when you know that you are going to play solo the majority of the time. In this case, he You have to be able to be autonomous in a whole bunch of situations.

The first thing we will advise you is to invest a few skill points in mining. This may seem quite unnecessary, but quickly you will come across ores that take a long time to mine if you don’t have these skills.

Since then, Investing a few points will save you a lot of time! For the rest, you are going to want a build that will allow you to inflict a minimum of damage so as not to struggle for long seconds on each of the mobs, while still having enough to survive.

The Barbarian is a good choice in this regard. Of course, you can also play more DPS oriented classeslike the combat mage or even the forest ranger, but you will have to be careful with your placements so as not to get punished.

Which classes to choose as a group on Enshrouded?

We might as well tell you right away, we’re not going to reinvent the wheel with this section and we’re going to give you a composition that works in the majority of group RPGs. Your goal will be to have half of your team composed DPS whether magical or physical (best to have one of each if possible).

The other half should be made up of support characters who will put the DPS in the best conditions to do damage. Since then, you are going to need tanks and characters who will be able to heal the damage received.

The good news, is that Enshrouded lets you play with up to 16 players, which is more than sufficient to form homogeneous groups. If being 16 is not always easy, finding 3 other players should largely be feasible and here is the composition that we would recommend:

  • 1 magic DPS
  • 1 physical DPS
  • 1 tank
  • 1 healer
