What are the irises of cloaking and grace used for in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree?
The Irises of Concealment and Grace are useful for completing two small quests in EElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. They concern Queeligne and Jolan exclusively.
When you reach the end of their quests, you will have to make a choice: give the Iris of Concealment or give the Iris of Grace. Depending on your choice, the reward obtained will be completely different and irreversible.
By giving an Iris of Grace to Jolan and Queelign, you will obtain their summon ashes. On the other hand, by giving an iris of occultation to these characters, you will obtain their weapons: the night sword and the greatsword of Queelign.
Depending on your needs and desires, you will have to make the right choice, because as we told you just before, your choice does not allow any going back. On the other hand, don’t be afraid to cause the death of these NPCs, they will die in all cases, no matter what iris you give them.
And that’s about it for irises; they have no other use, although we have tried to use them on certain bosses or other characters.
Occultation and Grace Irises are very limited quantity items.much like the sacramental buds for the immunizing pellets, which can be found a little everywhere in the Shadow Realm. They can also be found on the ground or as a reward for eliminating a notable opponent.
There are different positions of these resources, however, we have noted two for each iris, so that you always have the choice for the Queeling and Jolan quests.
- A concealment iris can be obtained by defeating an Ulcer Tree Spirit in the outer courtyard of the Religious Quarter (water must be removed).
- A concealment iris can be obtained by eliminating the opponent who is in the dungeons of the Fort of Reprimand. All you have to do is drop into the small opening on the ground, which is on the left in the courtyard.
- An iris of grace can be obtained in the Pot Hall in the western part of the Black Castle.
- An iris of grace can be obtained in the chapel of the Religious Quarter, at the foot of the statue of Marika which is in front of the door which leads to the Avatar of the Occult Tree.
Logically, you will not need more irises to complete all the character quests. Only Queelign and Jolan are affected by these special items, so there is no point in looking for others.
