News tip Last Epoch Arena: What is it for and how to reach it?
Once you have mastered Last Epoch and its mechanics, you will seek to challenge yourself and that is good because the game invites you to attack the arena for this. In this article, we explain how to reach it and what it is used for.
There are actually two arenas in Last Epoch
Before we launch into the explanations, it is important to clarify several points about how the arena works on Last Epoch and the first is that there is not one version, but two of this instance. So you can get started either attack the infinite arena or the arena of champions.
To help you understand the difference, we have described them in more detail later in the article. To access it, you will need to have a few hours of gameplay behind you since you you will have to reach at least level 60.
Once you reach this level, you can go to the Champions Gate where the arena is located on Last Epoch. You will then need to spend an Arena Key to start the challenge. You can get them as rewards for your arena runs. Otherwise, you will have to go through the Monolith of Destiny which is located in the End Times.
The Infinite Arena: Face waves of enemies
Now that we know more about how to access these arenas, let’s start by looking at the infinite arena which, as its name suggests, allows you to face enemies who arrive in successive waves until you decide to leave or you succumb.
To be more precise, in each wave, four groups of enemies will appear and you will obviously have to defeat them and once there is only one left, the next wave appears. Every 5 waves, however, you are allowed a break.
Items are given to you, you have access to your reserve and a blacksmith appears. You can then restart the spawn and go for 5 more waves. You can also decide to go and earn the rewards. Be careful, this is the only way to get it, if you die in the infinite arena, you will get nothing!
Among these rewards, you can obtain a new key (this becomes guaranteed from wave 65) and even an improved version of it from wave 80 which makes you restart directly at the latter. Finally, know that for wave 90, you will have to face one of the final bosses of the Champions arena.
Arena of Champions: Choose your difficulty and defeat the champion
Precisely the Champions arena is the one that will now interest us. Indeed, the latter is also accessible via arena keys and has an operation that is different from the infinite arena. Already, you will have the choice between four difficulty levels.
Then, there is not an unlimited number of waves. In place, you will “only” have 40 waves to eliminate to defeat the arena. Well, not quite since once the last wave is eliminated, you will have to defeat the champion who corresponds to one of the classes in the game.
So, you can face Vaion who is a sentinel, Scarlet Blade who is an assassin or Alfrig who is a primalist. For the moment, there is no acolyte or mage boss, but this might be added in the future via an update.
