Where to find Medusa, the gorgon from Dragon’s Dogma 2?

Medusa is located in the Battahl region and more precisely in the Cave of the Winds of Nera’Battahl located in the Dragonblood Forest of Dragon’s Dogma II.

To reach this area, you will need to obtain a pass to reach the Battahl region, then head west from Bakbattahl. After the first turn within the forest, you will find an entrance with many petrified bodies, including a cow : this is the sign that tells you that you have arrived at the entrance to the cave. As you go deeper into it, you will find the gorgon going around its arena.

To obtain the Withered Gorgon Head, you will need to engage in a small game of rodeo with Medusa. Once you reach his upper body, deal slashing damage to her head until she succumbs. The head will fall of its own accord when it takes its last breath.

  • Blunt damage is not at all recommended when trying to cut off Medusa’s head, which is why we invite you to prioritize classes like the Sword Warrior or the Thief.

To stay attached to your head longer, we advise you to carry Rustipotate fortifiers : you will be able to recover some stamina to continue the fight.

The gorgon head is used in the same way as your lantern. By brandishing your head, you can petrify any opponent of your choice. The most interesting thing here is to petrify elite monsters like Chimeras or Griffons; clearly using it on goblins would mean wasting it.

The withered gorgon head is like a fruit or a piece of meat: it rots. So you’re going to have to use it very quickly before it sits on your hands, completely useless. Also note that its use is very limited in time: after a few seconds of use, the head deteriorates and becomes entirely useless.

Fortunately, Medusa reappears after a night in an inn, in a house or in a camp. So, if you get wind of a tough fight to come, don’t hesitate to collect a withered gorgon head at the Cave of the Winds in Nera’Battahl to facilitate your future fight.
