Somehow Michael Wendler seems to have noticed that his outing as a corona skeptic was somehow not really beneficial for reputation and career. But after initial attempts to weigh it down, there seems to be no turning back for him: In a live Instagram speech, he once again gave a vigorous attack against the government and hygiene measures.
"Basic rights torn apart"
With this Wendler update, it quickly becomes clear that the pop singer gets his information from very selected sources or generally seems to have a tense relationship with reality. Donald Trump? According to Wendler, he is about to start his second term as President of the USA; the election victory of competitor Joe Biden is more of an annoying formality that will not bother incumbent President Trump any further. And of course the federal government does not come off well in the Wendler video.
Criticism of Corona measures
Of course, the corona pandemic, which has made life difficult for all of us for ages, is not that wild, if you like to believe Michael Wendler. On the contrary: From his point of view, it is imminent that the government will personally invade our homes in order to inject us with a vaccination against our will, whether we want it or not. And anyway, all of this is a very large-scale conspiracy to drive us all into economic ruin and make us so completely dependent on the government, said Wendler. Yes, he means that seriously, and no, of course that has not been funny for a long time – but at least the pop singer has now taken a position more clearly than ever before for these unsupported conspiracy theories.
Bohlen surprise at DSDS review
But the video speech is still good for a real surprise: In a brief review of his very short engagement with "Deutschland sucht den Superstar", Wendler finds surprisingly friendly words for chief juror Dieter Bohlen. Surprising, as he had reacted with glee and blatant glee to Wendler's sudden exit.
