(CercleFinance.com) – Nexans announces today that it is on the right track to switch to electricity coming from 100% renewable sources.
To achieve its decarbonization objectives, Nexans has launched a process to enter into a Pan-European Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) to cover most of its electricity consumption for all of its sites in Europe.
Nexans has appointed World Kinect Energy Services, a subsidiary of World Fuel Services, as its exclusive advisor to help it achieve its objectives while strengthening stakeholder alignment and minimizing market price exposure.
In the coming weeks, Nexans will consult the market with the help of World Kinect Energy Services in order to solicit offers to find the best project corresponding to its needs.
“This power purchase agreement will be a new step, guaranteeing long-term electricity produced from renewable sources,” says Olivier Chevreau, director of sustainable development at Nexans.
