(CercleFinance.com) – Nexans has been awarded a six million euro contract by ERG, the Italian leader in the wind energy sector, for the supply of a complete set of cables, accessories and services engineering for the resupply of four onshore wind farms in Sicily.
These parks should produce 330 GWh per year, or the consumption of 100,000 homes and 166,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided each year.
This announcement is a continuation of the long-standing relationship between the two companies, which seek to contribute to the development of wind energy in Italy.
Nexans is ERG’s long-term partner in the Italian wind energy sector, as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan supported by the Italian government.
