The temperatures are slowly rising above 10 degrees again and with that the new cycling season will start at the latest. Are you currently looking for a cheap new e-bike? Then the current offer from Aldi could be interesting. The discounter will be selling an e-mountain bike from SachsenRad from March 27th.

The bike comes with 27-inch wheels, on- and off-road tires and a Zoom suspension fork. A Shimano Tourney TX 7-speed gear system and hybrid hydraulic disc brakes are also installed. These should be hydraulic disc brakes that are maintenance-free – according to the manufacturer, there is no need for ventilation or an oil change.

The mountain bike has a 500 watt hour battery, which should enable a range of between 50 and 150 kilometers. There is no more detailed information about the engine. It offers 250 watts of power and was made exclusively for SachsenRad.

The LCD display on the handlebars gives you an overview of the most important information and allows you to switch between five available speed levels. Thanks to the built-in light system, the bike is also roadworthy. The maximum load is 120 kilograms.

If you are looking for a cheap e-mountain bike for small tours outside of asphalt roads, you can get a really inexpensive e-bike with a really decent equipment with the SachsenRad model.

Due to the price, the components are of course rather simple, so we would advise against using it in difficult terrain. However, the e-bike should master field and forest paths without any problems.
