(AOF) – Nextedia has announced the acquisition of Manika, a recognized player in cybersecurity in the strategic areas of information security governance, information system resilience and business risk management. This operation is part of the group’s Ambitions 2025 plan to become a benchmark player in cybersecurity. Its target expects to achieve a turnover of more than 2 million euros in 2022.

By 2025, Manika anticipates an ARR (annual recurring revenue) of 5 million representing more than 70% of its annual turnover.

As part of the Ambitions 2025 plan, Nextedia aims to mainly develop annual recurring revenue.

The integration of Manika will be carried out according to the historical practices of the group, by retaining the founders in key management positions and by involving them in the success of the whole.

Business services: road transport faced with a labor shortage

A report published by Dares (Direction de l’Animation de la recherche, des Etudes et des Statistiques) in October 2020 pointed out that truck drivers were among the thirty most stressed professions in France in 2019. This tension is not fallout and could even increase in the coming years. According to the OTRE (Organization of European Road Carriers), the needs could reach 100,000 jobs in the next five years. The phenomenon, which was lessened during successive confinements, reappeared with the resumption of activity. It is partly linked to a lack of image and unattractive remuneration. Unfortunately, the recent negotiations between the social partners to revalue the minima for the branch have not been successful.
