NFL BIOSCIENCES: scientific publication of the study on the mechanism of action of NFL-101 carried out by the CEA in ACS Chemical Neuroscience – 06/17/2024 at 11:00

NFL BIOSCIENCES (Euronext Growth Paris – FR0014003XT0 – ALNFL), a biopharmaceutical company developing botanical drugs for the treatment of addictions, announces the publication in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal, today, of a scientific article on the mechanism of new and disruptive action of its drug candidate for smoking cessation, NFL-101, highlighted during the study carried out by the CEA Pharmacological Neuroimaging team. For the first time in tobacco research, PET imaging [18F]FDG was used in a mouse model exposed to tobacco smoke to measure brain changes during withdrawal.
In April 2024, just two months after obtaining the results, the CEA submitted an article on the results of the study of the mechanism of action of NFL-101 to ACS Chemical Neuroscience. It is a monthly international peer-reviewed scientific journal of the American Chemical Society that publishes articles relating to neuroscience chemistry. The journal is ranked among the 7% of the most cited scientific journals (impact factor 5).
The study of the mechanism of action by molecular imaging carried out by the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission (CEA) demonstrated a new and disruptive mechanism induced by NFL-101, with:
