Nice: four people injured by shots of small pellets near a high school

Four people were injured by lead shots on Friday September 2 near a high school in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), learned our colleagues from Nice morning. Information quickly confirmed by the first magistrate of the city, Christian Estrosi, on Twitter.

The facts occurred in the Estienne d’Orves high school sector, shortly before 5 p.m. The victims were reportedly hit by small airgun pellets. Police and rescue forces were quickly deployed to the scene and the area cordoned off.

The city councilor, who went there, immediately wanted to be reassuring, stating on Twitter that the shooting took place at the foot of a building which is “away from high school“. And to ensure thatthree [des victimes] have already returned home and did not require care“. Conversely, a 17-year-old girl, hit in the shoulder, was hospitalized. She would only suffer, however, from a “superficial wound”again according to Christian Estrosi.

The author of the shots is actively sought by the national and municipal police services. The mayor of Nice is counting in particular on the operation of the city’s video surveillance cameras to identify him.
