Nick Cannon raved about his ex-wife Mariah Carey in an interview. When he fell ill with lupus, she saved his life with her support, the comedian said about the pop diva.
Nick Cannon, 42, made a touching declaration of love to his ex-wife Mariah Carey, 54. Without her he would no longer be alive today, the singer confessed.

In the podcast “The Diary Of A CEO”, the comedian and rapper revealed in an interview with host Steven Bartlett how much Mariah helped him when he was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease lupus in 2012. “She was my rock,” Cannon said of his then-wife, according to People. “She worked hard. To be honest, I probably wouldn’t be alive today if she hadn’t been so hard on the doctors, on me and on my stubbornness.”

He was married to the pop diva from 2008 to 2016. The former dream couple has twins, Daughter Monroe and son Moroccan, both 12. Cannon went on to say that Mariah was “the perfect helpmate, the perfect matriarch, the perfect mother, the perfect wife” in this situation. Even though she had to deal with the pressure of being a superstar, she had enough love to also deal with his problems. “It definitely brought us closer together,” said Cannon about the difficult time.
