Nickel continues to attract customers

Nickel continues to attract crowds and gained another 200,000 additional customers in the third quarter. The bankless account has already attracted 3.4 million customers!

Mixed fortunes for the subsidiaries of BNP Paribas which revealed its results for the third quarter on Thursday. Its online bank, Hello bank, had more than 800,000 customers, without further details, in France as of September 30 (compared to 760,000 at the end of 2022). But the growth of BNP Paribas’ online banking should accelerate in the coming months. Indeed, BNP Paribas is in exclusive negotiations to take over Orange Bank customers.

The 800,000 online banking customers should therefore be encouraged to join Hello bank in return for a nice welcome bonus. Contacted by Moneyvox, BNP Paribas did not wish to provide more information on the referencing partnership intended to provide a continuity solution for Orange Bank customers. As a reminder, the telephone operator officially announced at the end of June the closure of its online banking.

Even if all Orange Bank customers migrate to Hello bank, online banking will not catch up with Boursorama. The online bank, which became BoursoBank since October 2, had 5 million customers at the end of July.
