Nicki Minaj’s father was killed in a car accident in February. Now the rapper writes about the “worst loss of my life”.
In mid-February, Nicki Minaj’s (38) father was killed in a car accident. According to US media reports, the perpetrator was hit and missed after he hit the 64-year-old in Long Island, New York. Nicki Minaj has not yet spoken out about the loss. Now she wrote in a letter to her fans on her websitethat she couldn’t bring herself to speak about the death of Robert Maraj yet. “But I can say it was the worst loss of my life,” she explained.
The US rapper wants to call her father “all the time”, as she reports – even more often since he died. “May his soul rest in paradise,” wrote the 38-year-old. “He was loved very much and will be missed very much.”
The musician also dedicated a few lines to the late rapper DMX (1970-2021). The news of his death hit them “like a ton of stones”. “Losing him felt like losing someone I grew up with.” Nicki Minaj “adored” him. The legendary US rapper died in early April at the age of 50.
