NICKMERCS confirms its return to Warzone 2

As Apex Legends takes over streamer NICKMERCS’ playtime, it still announces its return to Warzone 2.

Throughout Warzone’s rise to prominence in the Battle Royale rankings in recent years, there are plenty of content creators who have helped, including NICKMERCS leaking Fortnite for Call of Duty.

On Verdansk’s best days, there wasn’t a day when NICKMERCS didn’t land on the game with tens of thousands of spectators watching him take out several dozen enemy players in each game.

Apex Legends or Warzone, NICKMERCS has made its choice in recent months.

In mid-2021, the streamer announced plans to shut down the Call of Duty battle royale. Although we have seen him return to Warzone a few times during certain streams, Apex Legends has clearly become his priority. This is mostly for its gameplay but also for its rather well modeled ranked mode, which Warzone has always been missing for over two years now.

And while official announcements about Warzone 2 are pending, NICKMERCS is still hesitant. He confirmed that he would be present at the launch of the new game, but warned his fans that it might not be enough to keep him on the Call of Duty franchise for good.

“I’m going to play there, for sure. […] There’s no way the next Warzone will come out and I won’t play it.” NICKMERCS commented.

He then continued in relation to a potential competitive mode on Warzone 2: “[Warzone 2] may have a ranked mode, but it can be horrible. It may be good, but it will never be as good as Apex’s. […] Activision rarely gets it right. In most cases, they screw everything up.”

NICKMERCS is therefore still extremely skeptical about what the developers of Warzone 2 will be able to offer, it is now necessary to wait a few months before knowing if the streamer was right to be fearful or not.
