Nicky Larson’s French version is him! Meeting with Vincent Ropion, legendary City Hunter

Voix Ouf, the AlloCiné show dedicated to French dubbing, welcomes actor Vincent Ropion, VF of the legendary Nicky Larson! It’s also Merry in Lord of the Rings, Jean-Claude in Titeuf or Charlie in Lost.

Nicky Larson has feared no one since his debut in France in 1990! Lovers of Club Dorothée and the Stallion of Shinjuku, you will be in heaven! Voix Ouf received the actor Vincent Ropion, VF of the anime City Hunter, for a special program on the occasion of the cinema release of the film Angel Dust.

After Private Eyes, released in 2019, this new feature film obviously presents us with Nicky Larson and Laura. One day, a stranger named Angie calls on them with a strangely simple request: find her cat! They accept the mission, Laura for the generous reward and Nicky for Angie’s charms.

At the same time, Hélène, a lieutenant in the Tokyo police, is investigating Angel Dust, a mysterious technology that transforms soldiers into supermen, but be careful, the Cat’s Eye trio is also on the case! What is the link between these two cases? Nicky Larson will find himself in the heart of an epic battle, which will take him on the trail of his own past.

Vincent Ropion, French voice of the hero created by Tsukasa Hojo, evokes this cult dubbing alongside his two daughters, Joséphine and Lana Ropion, also dubbing actresses. We can notably hear the first on Daisy Edgar-Jones in the series Normal People and the second in the acclaimed animated film The Wolf People.

Together, they give us their anecdotes about the acting profession and their way of approaching dubbing. Do not hesitate to share, rate, comment on the show and follow the Voix Ouf thread on the podcast platforms.
