Nicolas Anselmo (Here it all begins): his moving testimony about the harassment he suffered as a child

Guest of the portrait of the week in 50 minutes Inside this Saturday, May 7, Nicolas Anselmo alias Eliott in Here it all begins, confided in his differences and the mockery he suffered at school.

He is one of the emblematic characters ofHere it all starts. Present since the very first episode, the actor Nicolas Anselmo, who plays the role of Eliotthas some differences with his character, but also many similarities.

During the portrait of the week of this Saturday, May 7 in the program 50 ‘inside, the young actor thus delivered on what unites them, to Eliott and him, but also on what opposes them: “JI am not him, he is not me. We are alike on a few points but, me, I could not say what I really am. I am a human being with feminine and masculine energy. And the important thing is to have the balance of the two.” he confided to Nikos Aliagas.

“I was insulted in class”

With an open heart, Nicolas Anselmo also spoke about his difficult years at school, due to the harassment he suffered. Much like Eliott, the 23-year-old actor received plenty of criticism and judgment because of his differences as a child and then as a teenager: “Since kindergarten I would say, there are small memories that remain with me, it was already a lot of rejection. The look of others, ‘pink is for girls and blue for boys’… ‘You dance, you’re a girl’. And I didn’t understand all that. […] It seems so obvious to me: I dance, I like pink, colors, life, the sun… Why is it bad?” he expressed himself.

The young man then remembered an act of rebellion that Eliott also carried out in the series, the famous day when he lowered his pants to silence those who criticized him: “I did that, for real. I was being insulted in class, I heard ‘fag’ from all sides, and I showed my ass in class. Naturally enough, it didn’t bother mehe remembered before adding: “There are those who say: ‘But it’s incredible, you’re too strong, I would never dare to do that’. And others who say: ‘It’s not clean’. And after the teachers and directors, well, it’s: ‘You’re fired!'” he explained.

Nicolas Anselmo also opened up about his parents, who, unlike those of Eliott in the TF1 series, accepted his differences and did not reject him for who he really was: They suffered a lot I think from all that. They handled it another way. Their sadness, I think they dealt with it in anger, at the world: ‘Why my son?’ […] I couldn’t say it’s luck because, for me, it seems so obvious to me that you love your son or your daughter like that. It’s more the others who in the end don’t have any because it’s just horrible to reject your child because he just wants to be himselfhe concluded.
