Nicolas Bedos at his father’s grave: he shares this intimate moment


It is a moving tribute that Nicolas Bedos made a point of paying to his father, who died in May 2020. Indeed, the director went to pray at the grave of Guy Bedos.

On May 28, 2020, Guy Bedos left us. Buried in Lumio, in Corsica, the patriarch watches over his children. This Friday, July 15, 2022, Nicolas Bedos wanted to pay a vibrant tribute to his father. Indeed, on Instagram, the director published a touching video, in which you can see the grave of the actor. As a tribute, he shared Victor Hugo’s poem, Tomorrow, at down. “Tomorrow, at dawn, when the Balagne whitens, I will leave.” The filmmaker thus replaced the word “country” by “Balagne”, a region of Haute-Corse, dear to the heart of Guy Bedos. “I will go through the maquis, I will go through the mountains. I cannot stay away from you any longer, can we read next.

This is not the first time that Nicolas Bedos pays tribute to his father. Indeed, in May 2020, he wanted to announce the death of Guy Bedos with touching words : “He was handsome, he was funny, he was free and courageous. How proud I am to have had you as a father. Kiss Desproges and Dabadie. Since you are all in paradise”, he wrote on Instagram. The filmmaker had looked into the last days of his father’s life in the columns of theObs: “There are fathers who share a passion for football or the guitar with their son, my father and I have always had in common a close relationship with the desire to unplug the machine, making this idea a kind of almost comforting companion in case of despair, emotional or intellectual rout”, he confided.

He had thus confessed to having helped his father to die, he who was going through an ordeal : “April 2020. He’s having trouble breathing. He hasn’t eaten for weeks, illness, confinement, confusion. My mother, at the end of her nerves and vigilance, is pulled out of her half-sleep by cries. Somehow, she lifts him up, reassures him, tucks him in. She hates picking him up, she hates seeing him hate her picking him up, putting up with that look where distress and pride are always mixed (…) She He can’t take it anymore. He can’t take it anymore. He can’t understand it. It’s been going on for months.” Shocking words.
