Director Nicolas Bedos will be judged on September 26, 2024 for “sexual assault” on a woman in Paris between May 11 and 12, 2023 “per person in a state of obvious intoxication”and for ” sexual harassment “ on another woman committed between June 14 and 15, 2018 in Paris, announced, Wednesday December 20, her lawyer, Me Julia Minkowski.
The facts alleged against Nicolas Bedos “did not give rise to any complaints”declared in a message sent to Agence France-Presse Me Minkowski, who explains having “took the initiative to make it known” this trial “to prevent unacceptable untruths from being relayed again around this procedure”.
According to the lawyer, the alleged facts are “a kiss on the neck on a woman in a nightclub in May 2023” and of “sexual harassment on the other hand, towards a woman who describes, during a single evening in June 2018 at the home of a mutual friend, insistent and offensive behavior for which Nicolas Bedos apologized at the time”.
Tried in February for sexual assault
“A classification without further action due to the statute of limitations has been decided” concerning facts denounced by two other women, said the prosecution. According to Me Minkowski, it is about“a denunciation of a sexual encounter in 1999, when Nicolas Bedos was 18 years old, considered non-consensual by a woman seven years his senior, at the home of the Bedos family then present in the house, where they had gone to the end of a festive evening spent together ». The other fact aims “the denunciation of an attempted kiss on the mouth by a long-time friend during a vacation in the summer of 2016”added the lawyer.
The actor, 44, was heard in a free hearing at the end of November in this preliminary investigation opened in July after the accusations of these four women.
Accused of touching in a nightclub by a 25-year-old woman in June 2023, Nicolas Bedos has also already been summoned before the Paris criminal court in February for sexual assault while drunk.
