“Baywatch” star Nicole Eggert has breast cancer. The actress reveals what her treatment looks like.

“Baywatch” star Nicole Eggert (51) is suffering from breast cancer. The 51-year-old told People magazine that she received the diagnosis in early December 2023. After she had gained around eleven kilos in three months, had “terrible pain” in her left breast and felt a lump, she made an appointment with her doctor, the actress said.

Her family doctor immediately referred her to specialists, Eggert continued. “But the problem was that I just couldn’t get an appointment. Everything was fully booked. So I had to wait until the end of November to get my turn.” After a mammogram and three biopsies, she was diagnosed with cancer. “This journey has been hard for me,” she continued to tell People, adding that she’s trying to stay positive. “I’m always reading inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but this helps me get through it.” According to the report, the actress needs to undergo surgery to remove the cancer. The doctors are also apparently still discussing when chemotherapy and radiation will begin. She also doesn’t know yet whether the cancer has spread further.

Nicole Eggert is a single mother

Nicole Eggert has two children aged 25 and twelve. She looks after the younger child alone. Giving up is not an option for her: “This is something I have to get through. This is something I have to defeat.” Her twelve-year-old daughter needs her. After her cancer diagnosis, one of Eggert’s friends also created a “GoFundMe” page in her name to collect donations and thus support her financially.

Nicole Eggert starred as lifeguard Summer Quinn on the hit series “Baywatch” for two seasons from 1992 to 1994. The actress had other appearances in the series “TJ Hooker” and “Who’s the Boss Here?”.
