Nicoletta, the singer confides in her relationship with old age: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

She will soon celebrate her sixty years of career. Nicoletta, one of the greatest voices of French song, was the guest of 50′ Inside, Saturday April 13, 2024, on TF1. Now aged 80, this timeless icon spoke about his relationship with time which passes and on old age. “Life goes by quickly”, she explains. “Plus, the older we get, the more time rushes us. We feel like we’ll never have enough time to do all the things we want to do.” She then reminds us of the importance of enjoying every minute of present time. “That’s why we have to live in the present time, taste it well, and really be satisfied with it.” Nicoletta is an artist who embraces life to the fullest. She also explains that if she is not happy, she sings badly.

“I am from happy origins”

“There are singers who need to be sad, but I come from a happy background,” she explains. “If I’m having a bad day, well, I’ll take my hand,” she said, blowing. Although the artist always sees the positive side of things, she did not have an easy childhood. Raised by her grandmother, she did not know her father, and his mother was mentally retarded. Despite everything, Nicoletta once again sees the bright side of things. “Over time, I realize that I was very happy”she confides. “Colloquially, it was difficult”she explains, recounting that at school no one wanted to play with her because “his mother was crazy.” She then praises the incredible merits of her grandmother who raised her. “I was painful, me, from 15 years old to… a hurricane, I show him that.” Nicoletta then returned the favor. “I took her in when she fell ill, I took care of her, she died in my arms. The good Lord gave me this grace, because believe me, it is a grace,” she confides, visibly moved. A great way to pay tribute to the woman who gave him everything.
