Nightmare became real – RV brakes failed on Zirler Berg

The Zirler Berg in Tyrol is probably one of the most unfavorable places where, as a vehicle driver, you can imagine a brake failure. This happened to a German (41) on Monday. And yet he was lucky in his misfortune. . .

On Monday afternoon, the driver had almost completed the dangerous route with a gradient of up to 16 percent when Zirl’s brakes failed. “The man first drove into the oncoming lane against the guardrail, the vehicle was then thrown back and came to a standstill,” the police said. Luckily, no other road users were involved. The man escaped with minor injuries and a shock. The emergency services that arrived were amazed, because there were also four quails in the vehicle. They survived the mishap relatively unscathed, but flew around freely and ended up in the care of a veterinarian.
