Nikon extends the compatibility of its NX Field pro app to the functions of the Z9

In the spring of 2021, Nikon presented NX Field, an iOS and iPad application that allows remote management of up to ten cameras. A sort of mini-control room that can be carried anywhere, it was first intended for photographers using pro SLRs like the Nikon D6. On April 21, 2022, the Japanese firm announced that it was extending the compatibility of its application to the most advanced features of its latest flagship hybrid, the Z9 (or Z 9).

Thus, it will be possible thanks to version 1.2.0 of NX Field to remotely manage the multiple autofocus detections of the Z9 (humans, animals, vehicles of all kinds), or to take advantage of the burst at 120 fps (in 11 megapixel jpeg only) of the beast. Nikon promises that between the device and the application, piloting will be smooth and without blocking during burst shots.
